Day 7: Kaokoland – Epupa Falls – Kunene River

Breakfast prepared by the team. We set off on foot for a stroll along the Kunene River, located upstream from the falls, in search of birds, crocodiles, monitor lizards, etc. The Kunene River flows into a deep gorge, dropping about thirty meters. The spectacle of this river with its many branches as it plunges into a narrow ravine is magnificent. We return to camp for lunch, rest, a swim in the pool, reading, or other activities. Then, in the late afternoon, we take a short stroll along the river, but this time downstream from the falls, allowing for a superb panoramic view from a slightly elevated position and in the beautiful light of the setting sun, to enjoy the various viewpoints of the falls. We return to camp at sunset. Overnight at the Omarunga Epupa Camp campsite.
